As things start to kick into gear in 2019, we being receiving videos from band that will be releasing albums shortly. Here are some of the new videos that have come out in the last few days:
Dream Theater is about to release Distance Over Time in February, and the opening riff to “Fall Into The Light” reminds me of Judas Priest, before taking things heavier?
I previously discussed the new Cane Hill EP, Kill The Sun, it will catch fans off guard as Too Far Gone was seen by many as a Nu-Metal revival. But this EP really has nothing to do with said moniker.
Incite is a band that features Richie Cavalera, son of Max on lead vocals, they will be releasing Built To Destroy on January 23rd. This track “Poisoned By Power” features Six Feet Under’s Chris Barnes guesting on vocals.
Here’s an interesting mix, take Bullet For My Valentine’s former drummer Michael “Moose” Thomas, Throw The Fight singer James Clark, Still Remains’ Jordan Whelan and Threat Signal’s Travis Montgomery on guitar, and Glamour Of The Kill bassist Davey Richmond, and you have Kill The Lights, which sounds like City Of Evil era Avenged Sevenfold. The music is heavily influenced by Iron Maiden, with a metalcore breakdown in the middle and at times harsh vocals, melodies, and chorus that is reminiscent of the aforementioned A7X, and in the end Moose plays a pattern similar to the Trivium classic “Pull Harder On The Strings Of Your Martyr”.
And finally, another band I featured previously, former Type O Negative and Life Of Agony drummer Sal Abruscato’s band A Pale Horse Named Death. The album comes out in about a week, and it is dripping of doom goodness, check out the title track “When The World Becomes Undone”.
