Here are some of the new albums that drop today.

Judas Priest – Firepower

The long awaited return of Judas Priest, with everything that has gone down in the last few weeks with the band disclosing Glenn Tipton’s illness, having Andy Sneap slide into Glenn’s spot, and having K.K. Downing, Rob Halford, and Ian Hill exchange words via interviews, we finally are able to put the drama aside and give Firepower a good listen.

Chivo – Waiting For So Long

Insanely awesome stoner doom metal out of Portugalete, Spain.  Very impressive.  The band was formed in 2004 and has had the same lineup since 2010.  They have performed in Spain, France, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland and Italy.  Check them out on Bandcamp.

Myles Kennedy – Year of the Tiger

The Alter Bridge and Slash frontman releases his first solo album, which has been in the works for sometime. Think Myles’ trademark voice mixed in with the more acoustic Zeppeliny side of Alter Bridge.

Between The Buried And Me – Automata I

One of the forerunners of modern progressive metal, buy mixing what bands like Dream Theater put down as a solid foundation for the sub-genre mixed in with gutteral vocals that you would be more accustomed to find on a death metal album. This is the North Carolinians eighth album, and first of two Automata releases that will come out in 2018.

Other stand out releases:

Jimi Hendrix – Both Sides Of The Sky

Ministry – AmeriKKKant

Nightwish – Decades

Three Days Grace – Outsider
