ENUFF Z’NUFF DEBUT NEW SINGLE AND ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM

Enuff Z’Nuff has been a staple in the Chicagoland music scene for the better part of the last four decades. They obtained national recognition after hits like “New Thing” and “Fly High Michelle”. Both tracks came off of their 1989 self-titled debut. Both songs, received massive airplay on radio and MTV. Over the years, the band has dealt with the ups and downs that go with most musical acts. Members coming and going, substance abuse, infighting, all which ultimately fractured the band. As well as split their fan base into two camps. Like Dave and Sammy, Ozzy and Dio, or any other debate that comes from the fragmentation of a fan base. The Donnie vs. Chip debate has lingered for years. Donnie Vie was the voice that catapulted them to stardom. But Chip Z’nuff has always been the one constant over the years. He’s been the Tony Iommi of the band. Replacing the voice of a band is the most difficult thing a band has to deal with. People get accustomed to hearing the singer, their words. This is where most of the “it just doesn’t sound the same” argument comes from.

BRAINWASH GENERATION DROPS ON JULY 10TH

This was most apparent back in 2018 when the band released Diamond Boy. Donnie would then release Beautiful Things a year later. Who sounded better, who had better lyrics, who still had it, and who didn’t. There where insults thrown band and forth by fans that felt the need to pick a side.

Enuff Z'Nuff Band 2020

I had heard through the grapevine that there was a possibility that Chip and Donnie had patched things up. To what extent I was not sure, but the new album, Brainwashed Generation will feature the vocal styling of Donnie Vie on the track “Stranglers In My Head”. The album will also feature guest spots from Ace Frehley, Mike Portnoy, Cheap Trick’s Daxx Nielsen, and a bunch more. I must also bring up the core of Enuff Z’Nuff which is made up of Alex Kane and Tory Stoffregen on guitar, Dan Hill on drums and Chip Z’nuff on bass and vocals.
