We all want live music to return and it will. One way we can delay the return of live music even longer is by being really stupid and getting together in large groups this summer. Personally, at this point in time, I am 100% against any gatherings of large crowds and that includes political rallies, public protests and music concerts. Stupidity and poor judgement is not limited to any political party, geographical location or music style. Now as US Covid-19 cases surge to the highest level in 2 months, artists such as Static-X, Nonpoint, Dope, Bobaflex, and Royal Bliss are planning on playing a “Herd Immunity” festival, July 16 to 18th in Wisconsin. We have supported some of these bands on Talking Metal in the past but I will think twice before I interview a band like Nonpoint again. By playing this festival, Nonpoint supports people dying from COVID-19. They are reckless and dumb. Let’s hope no one shows up and it bombs.
