PSSR and some of its components have been mentioned on Talking Metal throughout the years. Guitarist Rob Bailey has been mentioned tons of times in the past, including this past Friday’s Facebook Live show. As has Drummer Frank Ferrer, who has guested on the show a bunch of times in the past. If that name rings a bell, it’s because he’s been in Guns N’ Roses for quite a few years now. He was last discussed on the show during Episode 739 of the podcast. Bassist Brett Bass is best known for having spent some time with Greg Allman. The band is rounded out by firecracker singer/guitarist Eric Jakobssen.

I mention firecracker, because the song instantly goes off like an M80. The AC/DC vibe, and groove of the song is very prevalent. But this New York City band combines the attitude, and swagger that the city is known for. This don’t give a fuck attitude that helps people survive on a daily basis.

“Busted” also features a bandmate of Ferrer’s, current Guns N’ Roses guitarist Richard Fortus.

Here is what Eric J. had to say about the track:

‘Busted’ is one of those songs that covers a little social commentary about game players that perhaps don’t really play fair or at least don’t consider the consequence of some of their actions; women, drugs, police, lies? A little self-awareness could keep you out of trouble. Because in the end all we have is are self to blame if things go wrong and our self to credit when it goes right!’’

Rob Bayley followed that up by saying the following:

“A funky song about a funky topic. This is a story about a guy who was getting it from two sides. A pushy pusher and a pushy partner both add up to a waste of time.”

The band’s full length album will be out later in 2020. If you’re into AC/DC, Motorhead, The Stooges, or similar, it will be very much worth the wait.
