TONIGHT’S TALKING METAL LIVE FEATURES MEMBERS OF FOREIGNER, ACE FREHLEY’S BAND AND VESSEL OF LIGHT

Tonight’s Talking Metal Live features three guests. Bassist extraordinaire Jeff Pilson of Foreigner, Dokken, Dio and Black Swan. Ryan Spencer Cook of the Ace Frehley Band and Gene Simmons Band. And the recently added Dan Lorenzo of Vessel Of Light, also known for Hades, Non-Fiction, The Cursed and Screaming Metal.

If you haven’t checked out Talking Metal Live, it’s a call back to the old Talking Metal Forums, and the live streaming that the show did way back when. The added caveat is the video component to the show. With segments that will only make sense if you watch live. For example, John talking about his massive guitar collection. Or Mark’s Brush With Greatness stories. You can also interact, and ask them questions in real time before the show is edited and released in audio format.

The show is usually split up into the interviews, and just Mark, John, and sometimes Emily shooting the shit.

Most of us first became antiquated with Jeff Pilson due to his work in Dokken. His first full length with the band is arguably the band’s strongest album top to bottom.

Jeff went on to work with War & Peace, a few criminally underrated Dio albums, the great Lych Pilson project which was recently reissued, as well as the super-group Black Swan. In recent years, he probably known best for his work with Foreigner. He’s also produced a bunch of bands, including Last In Line and Kill Devil Hill.

Over the last few weeks, Talking Metal Live has featured various members of the Ace Frehley/Gene Simmons band. This week the trend continues with Ryan Spencer Cook. Ryan first came on people’s radar due to his work with The Rock N Roll Residency, a Nashville act which covered all types of hard rock and metal. They tend to bring all kinds of big name guests to the stage like John Corabi, or Lzzy Hale to name a few.

Lastely and not least, is Mr. Dan Lorenzo. He’s been a friend of Talking Metal for years. As mentioned above, he was part of the two Screaming Metal shows which featured Mark, and John along with Vessel Of Light’s Ron Lipnicki, and a few other musicians covering a slew of great tracks. Dan recently let us know that he and Vessel Of Light are working on album number four. He’s always a great story teller, and tonight should be no different.
